Thelma was the cornerstone of her family. She held her family close to her, prayed for them ceaselessly, lent a listening ear, and offered sage advice whenever needed. Thelma was the daughter of Edward & Jane McCurdy (deceased). She grew up in Cordova Mines, where she had many fond memories of climbing crab apple trees and picking strawberries with her siblings. She was the sister of Margaret Holland, and is predeceased by brothers, John, Bill, Harry and sister Joan Izzard. Thelma was the beloved wife of the late Earl Edwards, her childhood sweetheart, and the loving mother of Theresa Howran (predeceased), Ellen Wilson, Earlene Byrne (Steve) and Jeff Edwards (Krystyna). Nanny will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Jason Howran, Kristen Bradley (Kevin), Jessica George (Matt), Linz Hunt, Stefanie Kennedy (Greame), Sabrina-Blue Wilson, Bridget & Sarah Byrne, and Emily Edwards. She was known as GG to her great-grand children Elouise & Ry Kennedy and Pema George, whom loved and cherished her dearly. Thelma was a devout long time member of the Free Methodist Church, where she was a permanent fixture in the Children's Ministry for many many years. Thelma will be terribly missed by her in-laws Art and Lynda Edwards, Eleanor and Dave Goddard, and Lyla and Herson Booth, and several nieces and nephews. Thelma's family send their deepest gratitude to the staff at PRHC and Rubidge Retirement Residence and especially Dr. Spink. <br> Please join Thelma's loved ones in remembrance of her beautiful life.
